What To Do: Watch Events this May at Pergola (Pulilan, Bulacan)

Tuesday, March 22, 2011
Quick Post
I've been feeling depressed for the past couple of weeks and now I am sick. Now I think to myself, maybe I've had so much fun and love in my life and it's time for me to go. My body is rotting, slowly dying and I am about to fade away. Good thing nothing scares me now except paghihirap ng loved ones, families and friends.
Reconnecting with old girlfriends from school and keeping each other's spirits up. After all, we'll be all that we have when we're out of PI.
Prepping stuff before running to a meeting in Ortigas Center. Hoping to get leave office early to catch the family med doctor at the mall where I go for consultation and check-up these days. My lab tests are due to come out late this afternoon. Praying that everything's fine with me. Been observing my body for the past couple of days. UTI has been ruled out. Blood in my urine sounds bad, I know, but I'm still hopeful that it won't be as worse as I think it is.
Happy birthday to my breastfriend, Golda, who's in Singapore-lah!

Seen: The Adjustment Bureau

Met up with RJ, Melai, Gina and Dennison. Got introduced to Arvin. Another mediterranean dinner tonight, this time at Cyma. Had quick coffee before the last full show in TriNoma. Matt Damon played a soft role with a strong character. Emily Blunt is another great actress! Good thing she can dance, too! RJ and I simply adore her. Glad that Melai thought the same of the movie. :) Happy that she's more relaxed now and enjoying every time I spend with her. Would have slept over at RJ's tonight but there's a big need for me to be home tonight, to keep my folks updated about the situation of my siblings in Japan. Let's all pray for everyone's safety. We really ought to have emergency bags everywhere.
Thank God we're still alive.

LISTEN TO: Adele's 21 Album

I say her singing is so heartful, it makes me think deeply and lets me write my most profound sentiments, especially the track, "Someone Like You."
I feel as if she's black, blonde and asian combined.

See: PETA's CARE DIVAS
I fell in love with the theater when I was a kid. And since then, I've been an avid fan of PETA's productions, most especially when my cousin Buddy Caramat is in them! When I leave the PETA-Phinma Theater Center with my friends, I'm always proud and I leave the premises in deep thought, my emotions stirred within me. This particular production, CARE DIVAS, spoke to me. I guess there's nothing new with that, as PETA's productions are always relevant.
Care Divas, PETA's newest musical comedy-drama, opens February 4
In the Philippine Educational Theater Association’s (PETA) latest musical comedy-drama titled “Care Divas,” five transvestite overseas workers travel to the historic land of Israel in the time of the intifada (the Palestinian uprising against Israeli occupation), bringing with them the unique brand of warm Pinoy nurturing to care for elderly Jews.Every day, they wash, feed and entertain their employers as loving caregivers. Come nighttime, the five whip out their make-up and sky-high heels to perform as glamorous drag queens in a Tel Aviv club.
The day after, they go back to playing the role of caregiver, once again tending to the aged Jews who depend on them for food, human connection and survival.
At the core of the story is Chelsea (Melvin Lee), who seems to have it all--blessed with a kind employer who teaches him Hebrew and a potential lover who accepts him for what he is. Shai (Vincent De Jesus) the leader of the group, is always haunted by the image of his mother who rejected him for his sexuality. The two are joined by Kayla (Jerald Napoles), Thalia (Dudz Teraña, Jason Barcial) and Jonee (Phil Noble, Buddy Caramat) who also release their creativity through performing.
The five strive to adapt to Israeli culture. Their Filipino tongues struggle to learn Hebrew while silently battling the orthodox view on gays. They are always alert, constantly fearing deportation and war.
Armed by their aspirations (and their pointed stilettos), their true spirits and creativity shine through in their performances. They dream of becoming big-time divas while encountering problems along the way. But it is through their journey that they are able to share the valuable experiences and friendships that bind strangers like them in a strange land.
The creative team behind “Care Divas” includes acclaimed writer Liza Magtoto, multi-awarded composer Vincent De Jesus, prolific director Maribel Legarda, costume designer John Abul, events and theater lighting designer Jon Jon Villareal, visual artist and award-winning set designer Leo Abaya and contemporary dancer and choreographer Carlon Matobato.
The cast includes some of the biggest and brightest theater and television actors today: Melvin Lee, Vincent De Jesus, Ricci Chan, Jerald Napoles, Phil Noble, Buddy Caramat, Dudz Teraña, Jason Barcial, Cecilia Garrucho, Paul Holme, Myke Solomon, Angeli Bayani, Eric Dela Cruz and Dom Miclat-Jansen.
“Care Divas” runs at the PETA Theater Center every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 10 A.M. and 3 P.M., February 4-March 13, 2011. For inquiries and ticket reservations, contact PETA Marketing and Public Relations Office 7256244, 4100821 or 0917-5644233. E-mail petatheater@gmail.com.

The First Post
Welcome to our home, www.2gayguys.blogspot.com! Like what it says at the top bar, this is going to be where we will put our thoughts and sentiments on things worthy and not of our time and yours, too! :) To introduce the writers of this blog, we are 2 gay guys, each of who is 1/2 of the happy couple that we are. Our hope and intention is to spread love through the future pieces that shall be posted in the coming days.
RJ Dela Peña
Mornings, he tumbles out of sleep, out of bed, springing into the choreography of six o'clock.
RJ is known to the PR and marketing communications worlds as Igor. But in this blog, he shall be referred to as Paopi, Boiby Boy and other mushy names as thought of by his hubby, Rac.
Paopi, having recently become a freelancer, now enjoys more time on his hands and hopes to get back to his writing. He is dubbed as "the bitch in the relationship" by their common friends.
Paopi is Rac's trainer in yoga and throwing tantrums.
I'm young and fresh and the world is out there for me to conquer. Someday in the future, I would like to take a look back in my life and tell myself, "dude, you did good. you're cool."
